The transportation network in the Jerusalem metropolitan area is constantly growing and developing to shorten the travel time throughout the metropolitan area and allow Jerusalem residents and visitors to reach their destination quickly and conveniently. With the Light Rail, the first of its kind in Israel, wide streets, convenient bike trails, parking lots and pedestrian routes – the Jerusalem metropolitan area is leading Israel’s transportation revolution.

Transition complexes
20 transition complexes throughout Jerusalem, which include bus stops or light railway stations that are next to each other, allowing passengers to switch between various modes of transportation. In all transition complexes, the stations are marked by numbers and every station features maps of the area lines that pass through the station to make it easier for passengers to orient themselves and to provide a quick, convenient and enjoyable travel experience.
