The Blue Line
The Blue Line
The Blue Line will be the third light rail line. Upon its completion, Jerusalem will become an accessible, environmental and advanced city that facilitates easy and convenient travel to every part of the city. The line will connect the northern section of Jerusalem to the south from the neighborhoods of Ramot to Gilo, with an east-west extension between Gan Hapa’amon and the Malcha neighborhood.
Planning Status
The plan for the construction of the line has been approved and validated by the District Planning and Building Committee.
Implementation Status
The infrastructures relocation works will begin in 2020.
