The Unit is in charge of planning and promotion of mass transit network in the Jerusalem metropolitan area. It is responsible for determining the feasibility of innovative concepts and their implementation in the field while supervising the works until completion. Its work includes, among others, development of a plan to improve the existing lines, planning of new lines based on future transportation needs, and development of new transportation concepts that arise in the field.
