Responsible for adapting the public transportation system in the metropolitan area, while planning and improving the interface between bus lines, and between light rail lines and rapid bus lines. Among others, the unit is in charge of planning and overseeing the bus line system in the city, so that it corresponds with the light railway operations; construction of public transportation terminals, assistance in conducting negotiations with public transportation operators, calculation of costs and benefits from the public transportation projects and overseeing the public transportation system in East Jerusalem.
